2026: Rebuilding You
So, as we all know the year is about to come to a close. We're about to embark on a new year, and I want to share my personal goals for the next year, that I think we should all work towards. Recently, I found out that I had to get surgery for my chronic heart condition. Finding this out has made me realize that life is too short to not be the best version of ourselves. Here are some of my 2026 goals...
1. PHYSICAL:
- Body: One of my goals this year is to reach my ideal weight range of 130-145. I want to have more muscle definition and a lower body fat percentage. While the number on the scale and aesthetics aren't most important, I know this slight weight loss and body recompositing will improve my confidence and how I feel about myself.
- Face/Skincare: Recently, my eczema has been acting up as well as my facial acne. It has really taken a hit to my confidence, but I've decided I wouldn't let that stop me. I would take actions to work towards improving it. Like going back to the basics, simple face wash and a moisturizer with a healing ointment.
-Vanity: I want to improve my self-care. I want to treat myself like a princess that deserves the top maintenance. This means nails, hair, and clothes. Feel good = look good. This doesn't mean spending excessive money, it means painting my own nails and buying gel kits that will save me money. Doing my own hair and thrifting clothes or purchasing basic staple pieces that will go with lots of different outfits.
2. WELLNESS:
- Food: While physical matters and is important it doesn't matter if your inside isn't healed. My goal in 2026 is to eat cleaner. I find myself craving sugar a lot and that means I'm not truly fulfilling myself with the correct foods. My goal is to eat healthier heartier meals that will help my skin clear up and my eczema flare up less frequently. Foods like baked chicken, sweet potatoes, greens, fruits, and vegetables. Think superfoods.
- Exercise: In 2026, I want to focus on moving my body a lot more consistently. I want to focus on things like walks, Pilates, and gym workouts. I think that these types of movement are the ones I enjoy the most. I've created a split for myself and would love for you guys to be my accountability partners.
3. MENTAL:
- Mental Health: The third and final step to my 2026 plan is to go to therapy regularly. It is something that I feel I need, not because I'm going through a mental crisis but because I find myself wanting rant my thoughts to someone that will assist me in navigating and identifying them. That's what therapy is for. I want to think healthier and consistently improve my mindset and outlook on life.
I invite all of you to embark on these goals with me. Remember, these goals aren't for us to reach a certain number or image by the end of 2026 but to become a better us even if it means getting 1% better every day.
